Rosanna, 19.
Ex-bio major, future East Asian studies girl with eventual plans to do a Master's in Japanese-to-English translation. And possibly a certificate in Japanese- or English-to-French, for good measure. :)
Ex-fitblr. We're all recovering from something, so at the mo', I'm filling my head (and this tumblr) with things that make me happy and remind me to be healthy in body and mind.
You can find me reading books, newspapers, magazines, the t-shirts of passerby, or simply rambling outside at odd times. And here, of course.
Thanks for stopping by!

The books that will move you, inspire you, make you cry, make you think, make you laugh. Are there any books that you would add?
To name a few: NW, also by Zadie Smith (EDIT: only once you’ve read at least a couple of weird postmodernist things - but NW is 900% worth it); Persepolis, by Marjane Satrapi; and Ghostwritten, by David Mitchell. Pretty essential reads, imho.
For anyone interested, given the lack of short story collections in this list: Good Old Neon, by David Foster Wallace, is an excellent short story that fits with the theme of “things to read in your 20s.” It was published as part of DFW’s “Oblivion,” and later included in the O. Henry Prize Collection for 2002. Its subject matter is slightly unsettling, given Wallace’s suicide a few years later, in 2008.
Here ‘tis for free on the internets:
